Strategy and RPG in equal measure.

Shining Force, the Legacy of the Great Intention, more commonly known as Shining Force, is a hybrid between the concept of classic strategy games and RPGs in which, through some nice graphics, similar to some cartoon series, you'll participate in a great conflict between the kingdoms of antiquity.

Shining Force was very successful in the 1990s, and they even made a sequel called Shining Force II: Final Conflict. The elements of strategy games that you'll identify in Shining Force are evident in the turn-based gameplay in the form of battles, and even in view of the graphics.

But in Shining Force you'll find many elements of a true RPG, like the division of characters into classes (mages, knights, etc), or the possibility to gain experience in every battle. Oh, and don't forget that you'll head the Shining Force allies while your PC is responsible for the movement of your enemies.
